Studio policy
1. Booking & Confirmation
All studio and equipment bookings must be made via email or through the website form.
A booking is only considered confirmed once it has been approved in writing by the studio.
Comuna Studios reserves the right to refuse any booking without explanation, particularly in cases of outstanding debts or previous violations.
A deposit or partial prepayment may be required to confirm the booking.
2. Payment
Rental must be paid before the beginning of the shoot.
All prices are listed excluding VAT (IVA), unless otherwise stated.
Additional services, rental extensions, or penalties for violations must be paid after the shoot.
Accepted payment methods: bank transfer, credit/debit card, or cash (upon confirmation).
3. Rental Time
Rental time starts and ends according to the agreed schedule.
Late arrival does not extend the rental time.
Setup, teardown, and cleaning must be done within the booked time.
Any overtime beyond 15 minutes will be charged as a full additional hour.
4. Number of Participants
Rental includes up to 6 people.
From 7 to 12 people – 25% surcharge on the base rate.
From 13 to 20 people – 50% surcharge on the base rate.
The maximum number of people allowed in the studio is 20.
5. Studio Usage Rules
Conduct & Respect for the Space
The studio does not guarantee complete soundproofing, especially when multiple sets are in use. Please plan your shoot accordingly.
Respect other teams in the space and maintain a reasonable noise level.
Being under the influence of alcohol or drugs on the premises is strictly prohibited.
The studio reserves the right to refuse service in case of rule violations.
Shooting content that is pornographic, offensive, or illegal under Portuguese law is strictly forbidden.
The renter is personally responsible for the content of the shoot, the behavior of all participants, and compliance with applicable laws.
All activities and filming are conducted at the renter’s own risk.
Comuna Studios is not liable for any injuries, losses, or damages (direct or indirect) occurring on the premises. We strongly recommend that clients carry appropriate insurance for the shooting period.
For safety and asset protection, video surveillance is active on the premises.
Repeated violations may lead to termination of the shoot or blacklisting of the client.
Responsibility for Property & Condition
The studio is provided clean and functional and must be returned in the same condition.
The renter is responsible for all studio property, including equipment, furniture, decorations, and interior elements.
In case of damage or loss, the cost of repairs or replacements will be determined by the studio and must be compensated by the renter.
Cyclorama Use
The cyclorama must be kept clean:
• use indoor shoes, painter’s tape on soles, or studio-provided slippers.
In case of heavy stains (grease, paint, liquids, oils, markers, or other hard-to-clean materials), repainting fees apply:
• €50 – partial repaint
• €100 – full repaint
Restrictions & Special Effects
Smoking indoors is strictly prohibited.
Pets are allowed only with prior written approval.
Use of fog machines, haze, confetti, powders, liquids, or any special effects is only allowed with prior permission from the studio. Unauthorized use may lead to shoot suspension or additional cleaning/repair charges.
6. Lost & Found
The studio is not responsible for lost items but will store found items when possible.
Items are kept for 14 days and may then be donated or discarded.
7. Parking & Loading
There is no private parking, but paid public parking is available nearby.
Brief loading/unloading is allowed at the entrance with hazard lights on.
The studio is not responsible for any fines or towing.
8. Equipment Rental
All gear is provided in working condition and must be returned the same way.
Damage or loss must be compensated in full.
Certain equipment can only be rented with a studio technician.
Off-site equipment rental requires a separate agreement and is not eligible for the 30% in-studio discount.
The studio is not liable for any injuries, malfunctions, losses, or insurance incidents related to off-site use.
9. Technical Support
Assistant or technician help is available upon request (charged separately).
Self-connection of lights or gear may void the studio’s responsibility for any malfunction.
10. Cancellation & Rescheduling
Cancellations made 72+ hours in advance – free of charge.
Cancellations under 72 hours – 50% of the rental fee retained.
Same-day cancellations or no-shows – 100% of the fee retained.
Rescheduling is possible upon agreement and must be confirmed in writing.
11. Legal Terms
By confirming your booking, you accept all of the above terms.
All activities on the studio premises are done at your own risk.
Any disputes will be resolved under Portuguese law.
Comuna Studios reserves the right to change these terms without prior notice.
